St. Joseph's Boys' Higher Secondary School is a Government of Kerala aided institution. The School follows the Kerala State syllabus. Upper Primary and High School have both English and Malayalam medium sections. The Higher Secondary Section follows English as the medium of instruction. About 300 students appear for the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (S.S.L.C.) Examination and about 650 students of the Higher Secondary Section appear for Higher Secondary Examination.
Admissions are only to the Vth standard, which is done in the month of May. Application Forms for this can be collected from the school office tentatively in the first week of April. There will not be admissions to any other class in the Upper Primary and High School Sections. However vacancies that arise in the other classes will be filled at the same time. Fees will be charged only according to the Kerala Government specifications.

All the students learn English as their First Language and have the option of choosing either Hindi or Malayalam as their Second Language.
